Kristin has been an artist since she was a child. Drawing and painting came naturally to her and as early as middle school she was taking private art lessons. Growing up in Connecticut, Kristin eventually decided to pursue a Bachelor's degree in fine art and graphic design from Western Connecticut State University. There she took many studio classes in painting, drawing and design. Upon graduation, she entered the field of graphic design only to realize that she was much more comfortable creating with her hands than with a computer. This led her to pursue a career as an Art teacher. She became a certified Art teacher and worked for both public and private schools. It was in the private school that she was able to work hands on with children from Kindergarten - 12th grade. She loved teaching, however, it left little time to create outside of the demands of the job.

Eventually Kristin left teaching and she and her husband moved to the Finger Lakes in New York. She is now taking the opportunity to paint the beautiful landscape that surrounds her. She hopes that you will experience the beauty of the Finger Lakes through her work.
